Supporting Nottinghamshire

Derek

  • Dwarf cross
  • Male
  • 6 Months

Derek is a sweet and gentle rabbit who was once a house-rabbit, enjoying free roam in his previous home. Since arriving at the centre, he has been a little shy and reserved but is gradually building trust with calm interactions.

He responds well to gentle handling and has started enjoying treats from our hands and occasional grooming sessions. Derek is looking for a female companion and an experienced owner who understands how to nurture his confidence with slow, patient care.

Rabbits are active animals and need lots of space – a well matched pair of medium-sized rabbits require a living area where they can exercise and rest of at least 3 metres x 2 metres, allowing them to display natural behaviours like running and binkying.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
