Cat Friendly Clinic

RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre has achieved the silver award in the Cat Friendly Clinic programme run by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

Cat Friendly Clinic is a worldwide programme from the International Society of Feline Medicine, the veterinary division of the charity International Cat Care.

As an accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, our aim is to reduce anxiety and ensure any veterinary experience and stay with us is stress-free and comfortable.

We are absolutely committed to delivering high standards of care with both expertise and compassion.

Our centre vet, Jo, is our designated ‘Cat Advocate’.

Jo’s role is to ensure that the Cat Friendly Clinic criteria are adhered to, and to answer any questions cat owners may have.

What is a Cat Friendly Clinic ?

A Cat Friendly Clinic gives you peace of mind and reassurance, letting you know that:

  • We have achieved certain minimum accreditation standards
  • Our staff and centre have thought about the specific needs of cats
  • Our staff will be happy to talk with you, show you what they do, and show you around the clinic
  • Our staff will explain your cat’s treatment and recovery clearly and sensitively so that you have a full understand of what is going on

What can you and your cat expect from us ?

As a silver award Cat Friendly clinic , you can expect to find the following facilities at Radcliffe Animal Centre:

  • Separate area in waiting room for cats
  • Dogs and cats separated in ward and minimum cage sizes
  • Safe, secure and well equipped consulting room. A minimum of 10-minute duration for consultation
  • Appropriate equipment for anaesthesia is available, including equipment to administer oxygen, provide resuscitation and maintain body temperature.
