Sunset & Blaze

  • Savannah Cross
  • Female/Male
  • 4 Years

Sunset & Blaze are a bonded pair of active, playful, inquisitive and vocal Savannah-type cats (possibly a cross). They are very intelligent with lots of energy, so they will need plenty of daily mental and physical enrichment to keep them happy.

We feel Sunset & Blaze would be best suited to a home that can offer a secure catio or a fully cat-proof garden. Given their Savannah-type traits, they may have a stronger prey drive than a typical domestic cat, so any outdoor access beyond a secure set-up would need to be introduced slowly, safely and only if appropriate. A rural or quieter location would be ideal, although the right home in another area could be considered if secure outdoor enrichment is provided.

They can be nervous at first, especially with new people. Blaze is the more confident of the two and enjoys gentle strokes, while Sunset is shyer and will walk away when she’s had enough, so it’s important that her boundaries are respected and interactions are always on her terms.

We’re looking for an experienced owner, ideally familiar with Savannahs or energetic, intelligent breeds. Sunset & Blaze must be rehomed together and will need a home with no other pets.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
