Supporting Nottinghamshire

Rusty

  • Domestic Short-haired
  • Male
  • 1 Year

Rusty originally came from a multi-cat household but unfortunately didn’t receive the human interaction he needed when he was younger. As a result, he is quite timid and nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations.

Rusty likes to hide and feels safest when he can perch somewhere high. When he is feeling unsure, he may hiss, but this isn’t aggression, it’s simply a sign that he is frightened and unsure of what is happening around him.

Underneath his worries, Rusty has a gentle nature and a sensitive personality. He would be best suited to a quiet home with an experienced owner who understands nervous cats and will allow him the time and space he needs to build confidence at his own pace. With patience and understanding, Rusty has the potential to grow in confidence and truly flourish.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
