Supporting Nottinghamshire

Poppy

  • Pomeranian
  • Female
  • 11 Months

Poppy is a bright and lively little dog who’s full of personality, but she needs an experienced owner who can continue the training we’ve started here at the centre.

She can be nervous in new situations and takes time to build trust, so her new family will need patience and understanding while she settles in. Once she knows you, she enjoys attention and playtime, but she can become overexcited and will need calm, consistent guidance to help her manage this.

Poppy has been taking part in ongoing training to help her feel more comfortable with her lead and collar, including clicker training and muzzle association work. She’s responded really well, and her progress continues to grow with positive reinforcement and a gentle approach.

Her new owners will need to continue this training at home and follow the guidance provided by our team to help her feel secure and confident. With time and commitment, Poppy will make a loving and rewarding companion for someone experienced in supporting nervous dogs.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
