Poppy is a sweet little dog with a big personality. She is affectionate, lively and loves human company, often jumping up for attention and cuddles.
Poppy will need an experienced owner who understands her needs and can provide gentle guidance as she continues to build confidence. She would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time, as she thrives on companionship and reassurance.
If her new family already has another dog, Poppy would prefer one who is calm and of a similar size, as she can feel overwhelmed by larger or boisterous dogs.
Poppy will also need continued training with lead walking, house-training and socialisation, as gentle consistency will help her grow in confidence and trust. With patience, positive reassurance and a loving home, she will soon begin to relax and show her true, affectionate nature.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!
We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
