Supporting Nottinghamshire

Patches

  • Jack Russell Terrier
  • Male
  • 13 Years

Patches may be a little shy at first but he quickly grows in confidence once he feels comfortable in his new surroundings. Despite being 13, he is full of life and doesn’t behave like a typical senior dog. Patches is incredibly energetic and loves running around, having zoomies, rolling in the grass and exploring on his walks.

He forms strong bonds with his people and once settled, becomes very affectionate and enjoys staying close by. He’s a gentle and sweet boy who loves curling up on your knee.

Patches is sociable and playful with other dogs, although very large or boisterous dogs can make him a little unsure. Once settled, he is also friendly and confident with people. He walks nicely on the lead and thoroughly enjoys getting out and about.

Patches has been diagnosed with mild patellar luxation in his right leg but this does not stop him enjoying an active lifestyle. He will need ongoing pain relief, which will be an ongoing cost for his new owner.

Due to the strong bonds he forms, Patches would benefit from a home where someone is around for most of the day. He will also need an experienced owner who can continue to support him as he settles and builds confidence.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
