Supporting Nottinghamshire

Millie

  • Domestic Short-haired
  • Female
  • 8 Months

Millie is a very timid, nervous young lady who is quick to set clear boundaries when she feels uncomfortable.

Millie is looking for a calm, quiet home with an experienced owner who understands worried cats and will allow her plenty of time and space to settle. She is not a cat who enjoys lots of hands-on interaction, and she may never be a cuddly or affectionate companion.

When Millie feels unsure or pressured, she may hiss, growl or swipe to ask for space. For this reason, she will need a home that can respect her boundaries, keep handling to an absolute minimum, and let all interaction happen entirely on her terms.

Millie does show interest in her toys and she would benefit from having places to climb, hide and observe from a distance so she can feel safe. Her new owner must be prepared for the possibility that Millie will remain an independent girl who prefers companionship from afar rather than close contact.

Millie will need to be met in her pod prior to rehoming so potential owners can fully understand her nature and the type of home she requires.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
