Maxi missed out on early positive human interaction and, as a result, is a very timid girl who is still learning to trust people. She is looking for an experienced owner who understands nervous cats and can offer her a calm, quiet home where she can build her confidence at her own pace.
Maxi currently finds close human contact and handling difficult, preferring to keep her own space and choose when she would like interaction. She loves high hiding places where she can safely observe her surroundings while growing in confidence. Her new owner will need to understand that Maxi may never become a lap cat and be happy to let her develop in her own way without placing expectations on her.
Once settled, Maxi may enjoy access to the outdoors and may choose to spend much of her time exploring outside. With patience, understanding and the right environment, we hope her confidence will continue to grow, allowing her to feel more comfortable around people and enjoy a life where she feels safe and secure.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.
We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!
We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
