Supporting Nottinghamshire

Lex

  • German Shepherd Dog
  • Female
  • 2 Years

Lex is a boisterous, bouncy girl who is full of confidence and affection. She adores people, thrives on attention and loves a good cuddle, often forgetting her size and will climb onto your knee. Playtime is a favourite, especially chasing a ball, though she’s still learning the “bring it back” part!

Lex is looking for an active family who can match her energy and enjoy plenty of engagement with her. Lex will need an experienced owner, ideally familiar with large breeds, as she’s very strong on the lead and can get jumpy when excited. Lex needs her new family to continue the training we’ve started and help her focus that enthusiasm in the right way. A home where someone is around most of the time would suit her best, as she’ll benefit from consistent support and structure.

Lex has a deformed front right forelimb below the elbow, but she manages well and stays mobile. She does get tired on long walks, so she’s better suited to shorter outings with lots of breaks to rest.

If her new family already has a dog, Lex would prefer a male of similar size who’s fairly laid back but happy to tolerate her playful, active personality. She’s a kind, loving girl with loads of character and in the right home Lex will make a brilliant companion.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
