Supporting Nottinghamshire

Diesel

  • Shih Tzu
  • Male
  • 5 Years

Diesel was rescued by RSPCA Inspectors from a home with multiple dogs and is now looking for a calm and patient home where he can continue his journey of learning to trust and grow in confidence.

Shy and uncertain in new situations, Diesel will need time to bond and settle but with gentle reassurance, he reveals his sweet, affectionate nature. He has a sensitive soul and forms close bonds once he feels safe.

Diesel enjoys his walks and is starting to explore the world at his own pace. He can be vocal at times and may look to other dogs for reassurance, so he’ll need plenty of mental and physical stimulation alongside ongoing training, including house training and encouragement to help him build confidence.

Diesel must be rehomed with another friendly and confident dog, who can act as a role model and help him adjust to home life. He will also need someone at home most of the time to provide stability and support as he continues to settle into a new routine.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
