Supporting Nottinghamshire

Cleo

  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier
  • Female
  • 4 Years

Cleo is a confident, playful and very affectionate girl who loves being with people. She has lots of energy and can be a bit boisterous during play, so she’ll need an active home that enjoys continuing her training and providing plenty of exercise and enrichment. Cleo is happiest with company and will need someone around for most of the day, as she thrives on human interaction and isn’t suited to being left for long periods.

Cleo is looking for experienced owners, ideally with bull breed knowledge, who understand the commitment these breeds can require and are ready to manage her needs long term. She must be the only pet in the home. She can feel unsure around other dogs and needs her own space, so her management plan will need to continue in her new home. This means she should be walked on a Halti harness with two points of contact and wear a basket muzzle whenever she’s out, to support both her safety and her owner’s confidence. Cleo must stay on a lead in public and should only be let off in a secure, private field. Our staff will show her new family the commands she knows and the techniques we use to support her around other dogs and her new owners will need to be committed to keeping up with her training.

With the right home, patient, consistent and understanding, Cleo will be a wonderful, fun-loving companion who brings a huge amount of affection and joy to her people.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
