Teddie

  • Pomeranian x Chihuahua
  • Male
  • 3 Years

Teddie is a very sweet and gentle boy who finds new people, unfamiliar surroundings and everyday experiences quite overwhelming. Due to his lack of socialisation, he can become frightened by loud noises, sudden movements and unfamiliar people approaching or touching him. When worried, he prefers to move away and find somewhere safe.

Teddie needs time to build trust, but once comfortable, his lovely affectionate nature begins to shine through. He enjoys cuddles and being close to someone he knows and trusts. He also has an inquisitive side, which gradually appears as his confidence grows. Teddie still has a lot to learn about everyday life and will need patient, gradual training, including walking on a lead and toilet training.

Teddie is looking for a quiet home with very experienced and understanding owners who can provide reassurance and help build his confidence at his own pace. He must be the only pet, as he struggles with sharing his owner’s attention and can display protective behaviour. Teddie is quite a complicated little boy who needs plenty of patience and understanding, but once that special bond is formed, he has so much love and affection to give.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
