Buddy

  • Chihuahua
  • Male
  • 3 Years

Buddy is initially quite nervous around new people and in unfamiliar surroundings, which can cause him to bark. However, once he becomes familiar with someone, he is a very affectionate and loving boy who enjoys sitting on your knee and spending time close to you. He is comfortable being picked up once he has built a trusting bond.

Buddy does not currently show much interest in toys, although this may change once he is fully settled and feeling more confident in his new home.

Buddy needs an experienced owner who can give him the time, patience and reassurance he needs to continue building his confidence and social skills. His new owners must be committed to continuing his training and helping him feel safe and secure.

Buddy could potentially live with a small female dog of a similar size, provided she is well socialised and non-competitive.

Why Rehome From RSPCA Radcliffe

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.

We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.

We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!

We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
