Mildred is a nervous, timid girl who will need an experienced rabbit owner to give her the time and patience she needs to settle. She loves her hiding spaces and feels safest when she can retreat and take things at her own pace.
She doesn’t like being caught to be picked up, but this is due to fear, not aggression. She will happily hop into her carrier on her own and when you sit quietly with her she becomes inquisitive and curious. Mildred isn’t yet taking treats from our hands but with time, gentle routine and plenty of enrichment, we hope her confidence will continue to grow.
Mildred is looking for a calm, castrated male rabbit to bond with, ideally with a similar personality so they can give each other reassurance and companionship.
Rabbits like Mildred are active animals that need plenty of room to thrive. A well-matched pair of medium-sized rabbits requires a living area of at least 3 metres by 2 metres, giving them the space to run, hop and binky, essential behaviours for their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Our assessment and information on this animal suggest the following:
Rabbit adoption fee £40, a bonded pair of rabbits £60.
Adoption fee includes:
Guinea Pigs £15 , other small animals for a suitable donation. Neutered depending on vet’s advice.

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.
We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.
We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!
We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
