Our Centre Vet Jo Stepped Up and Stepped Out
Back in January Jo decided she needed a new challenge and at the same time raising money for charity. So on the 26th May 2019 Jo ran her first full marathon in Edinburgh, 26.2 miles and smashed it!
Previously running half a marathon Jo raised over £600.00 – so being extremely competitive, set herself a target for “double the distance, double the dosh.”
Jo couldn’t decide between some very good charities, all close to her heart. So the decision was made to aim to raise £1000.00, split between her 5 chosen charities, hoping to raise £200.00 for each one.
Jo explained knowing she had a great support team and everyone cheering her on back home, helped so much, especially when the wind was blowing against her.
Jo’s official time was 4hrs 50mins & 58 seconds. Raising a staggering £3015.00 a phenomenal amount. Not just for our animals here at Radcliffe Animal Centre but also for 4 other well deserving charities too. Cancer Research UK, Mind, MS Society and Stroke Association.
We are so proud of you, well done and thank you
