Our dental machine has been working overtime these past few weeks and general wear and tear over a number of years has taken its toll. We had a small repair last week after extracting over 146 teeth from the new dogs. Even this repair was at a cost of £450 but the reality is, we have an old machine and need to replace it with a new one very soon.
Along with neutering, dentals are the most frequent procedure we carry out here.
Infected gums and rotten teeth are often found in cases of neglect and significant dental work is needed .
Little Monty had to have 29 teeth removed after we revealed his poodle identity and were finally able to examine his mouth.
A scale and polish is also often required before an animal is ready for adoption so it’s a machine we can’t ever be without.
Could you help us to raise enough funds for a new machine?
Covid restrictions are preventing our face to face fundraising opportunities and donations from people visiting the centre have almost dried up because we are unable to open for public viewing.
